The Royal Australian Mint Celebrated 200 years of its own honey bees that’ve contributed to its economy. The currency was undeniably a work of art! It later won two International Coin of the Year awards! The coin features the iconic image of a golden Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse side displays a colourful amber & orange honeycomb in the center with two golden honey bees on either side. 2022 saw a pivotal time in human history when Queen Elizabeth II, its longest ruling monarch had died later that year at the age of 96.
The coin is comprised of a unique 97% copper 6% Aluminium & 2% nickel. Only 2 million were minted for circulation. The coins designer, Chern’ee Sutton.
