DuPont Reliable Blasting Machine with No. 3 Detonator, will fire 20-30 Holes. All original components, unrestored. The item has a fair amount of general wear but still looks amazing. All oak case with some nice dovetailing work. Great conversation piece and stress reliever all in one!
The leather carrying strap is mostly gone, and there is a plate missing on the front which can be seen by the oval outline where it used to be (this is likely where the DuPont label was, based on catalog images.) A few screws are missing but the case is not loose whatsoever. Very sturdy. Some gouges and various scratches/dents all around the case; likely that this unit was used regularly. The plunger functions ok when pulling up or pushing down, machinery all seems intact. There is a number stamped on the vertical plunger rod - 3523.
Dimensions are roughly 6 x 8 x 17", when plunger is all the way down. Nearly 27" with plunger extended. Item weighs 23 lbs.
