His investigation opens his eyes to the horrors committed by the secret police and turns him into a target. Colin Welland is best known for his films Chariots of Fire (1981) - for which he won an Oscar, Yanks (1979) with Richard Gere, and Twice in a Lifetime (1985) with Gene Hackman and Ann-Margret.
