Original 128 page shooting script for the film The Specialist that belonged to actor Rod Steiger, which is signed by him in red ink on the title page and has his corrections and elaborate annotations throughout in his hand. A interesting aspect of Mr. Steiger’s notations is that his dialogue notes are written in the accent of his character, Joe Leon, explaining how to pronounce the words in dialect. Bound in elaborate full black leather with gilt-stamping and with “Rod Steiger” embossed in gold on the front cover. Fine. The Specialist was directed by Luis Llosa and starred Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, Rod Steiger, and James Woods, and is adapted from the Specialist series of novels by John Shirley. The film tells the story of a former CIA agent’s entanglements with organized crime, a mad bomber, and, of course, romance.
