Vintage Folk art Signed D-J wooden painted cricket ant insect north Alabama

Description

Very unique cricket or ant type insect purchased by me in about 2000 in north Alabama at an antique vintage shop.  It is signed D-J on the bottom. It’s in good condition for age which I’d estimate at 1950s.  I’m not sure who the artist is.  It’s a good sized carved wood piece with metal nail type legs. Super cute.
