Description
These are small cast copper acorn or button-shaped ingotsmade at the former White Pine copper mine at White Pine, Michigan.
The lot of three weighs almost 5 ounces and is shown next to a nickel for size comparison.
Copper was poured into a small ladle and checked; if there was too much oxygen in it, it had holes on the bottom; too much sulfur, it had small sprues around the edge.
