A 1.8 pound lot, 7 pieces, of copper splash from the smelter at the former White Pine copper mine at White Pine, Michigan
.
Shown next to a dime for size comparison.
Some of these have carbon on one side and were formed when green poles were placed into the molten copper to reduce the oxygen content.
Ingots were being poured up until 1982, when the mine began producing pure copper by the electrolytic process.
